Job Description
As part of its growth and in response to the needs of its parent company—an international travel group—Satyagraha House is launching an ambitious and innovative inbound travel initiative, offering a fresh perspective on South Africa. To support this development, our well-established South African company is seeking an experienced Travel Consultant to strengthen our team and contribute to our strategic expansion.
- Position based in Johannesburg, South Africa
- Permanent South African contract (includes a competitive salary based on experience, 85% coverage of a high-quality medical aid, and pension contributions).
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and structure the travel offering (experiences, local partnerships, hotel contracts and relationships)
- Support the upscale positioning of services offered
- Contribute to commercial and marketing strategy
- Monitor tourism trends in South Africa
- Manage bookings and coordinate confirmed travel arrangements
Profile Required:
- Proven experience in the South African inbound tourism sector (minimum 5 years)
- Strong understanding of the French-speaking market and traveller expectations
- Excellent command of both French and English
- Service-oriented, autonomous and proactive
- In-depth knowledge of South Africa, and ideally neighbouring countries
- Proficient in IT tools (Windows suite + DMC software such as Tourplan)
