Role: Assistant to Guides Administrator (Junior/entry level) 

Location: Southern Suburbs, Cape Town: Office Based, Monday – Friday.

Salary: Negotiable depending on experience/qualifications.


 

Established inbound tour operator is looking for an assistant to the Guides Administrator to join the team. This is an office-based role, liaising with operators, consultants and the accounts department.

 

Criteria:

  • Matric + 1- 2 years Admin and Accounts exp. (Travel/Tourism Industry Advantageous)
  • Intermediate admin and accounts background  
  • To handle all admin to do with tour guides; from the checking of expense lists before the tour to advance the correct funds to the guide for the tour.
  • Reconciling all the expenses after the tour when the guide returns all the slips and docs.
  • Preparing the fees for payment to the guides and calculating the VAT on all the expenses
  • Sending the payment advice to the guides for both the expenses and the fees   
  • Keeping the guides data base up to date and in order
  • Communicating with the guides when necessary, regarding their expenses and slips etc.
  • Sending out the IRP’s and payslips  
  • Liaison with the operations and consultants and the Accounts department.
