Account Manager (Tourism/Travel): Cape Town or Johannesburg Based

Position: Account Manager (Tourism/Travel)
Type: Remote/Hybrid
Location: Must be Cape Town or JHB based
Salary Offered: R30 – R40kpm – Negotiable based on Experience.
Our client is specifically looking for an Account Manager – The main criteria Is Personality, Zest for Life & Travel: Inquisitive by nature, Thirst for knowledge and adventure. Able to travel extensively with Groups - Full training provided, hit the ground running with a mentor. Act as 2IC.
Manage and travel with the largest and most prestigious clients from around the globe that are key to the success of the organisation.
Our client is a leading DMC – Southern and East Africa, focused on Incoming tourism from all over the world – Providing clients with a top-quality level of service resulting in an exceptional travel experience. All expenses (meals, accommodation, flights, transfers etc.) are covered by the hiring company,
Qualifications and Experience:
- University Degree/Higher Diploma.
- 08 Driver's license required.
- Minimum of 1/2years working experience (any industry, albeit Travel/Tourism is an advantage).
- Must be able to travel extensively (spend quite a bit of time away from home) - Excited and ready to explore Africa!
- Energetic, driven, and ready to take on this exciting opportunity.
- Highly organised/Attention to detail.
- Knowledge and experience in MS Office (Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word).
Main KPAs - Training provided on-site.
- Design programmes for existing and new clients.
- In constant contact with clients and agencies.
- Ensure and maintain good relations with clients and agencies.
- Brainstorm ideas based on given briefs and budgets.
- Complete cost analysis’s, grids, detailed proposals, and PowerPoint presentations.
- Travel on-site inspections or programmes (on average 1-2 weeks in every 4 weeks during season).
- Compile and book all services based on itineraries.
- Source relevant information in terms of room-gifts, amendments, re-costs, and additions.
- Travel with groups and assist with on-site coordination.
- Ensure contracts are drawn up between the company and client.
- Maintain and increase gross profits on programmes.
- Attend all weekly and status meetings.
