As part of our ongoing commitment to supporting inclusive and impactful initiatives, we are pleased to share details of the upcoming Youth in Action Expo 2025—a dynamic two-day event taking place in Cape Town aimed at connecting young people with real opportunities for growth, development, and meaningful employment.

The Expo brings together academic institutions, corporate employers, and organisations that provide education, career guidance, and job prospects for youth. Importantly, the event prioritises inclusion—welcoming learners from marginalised communities and lower quintile schools, tertiary students from across the province, and individuals with disabilities.

A Shared Vision for Empowerment

The aim of the Expo is clear: to create a platform where young people—particularly those from underserved backgrounds and those living with disabilities—can gain exposure to career pathways, connect with supportive organisations, and access vital educational and employment opportunities. The organisers are also calling on organisations with a demonstrated commitment to inclusive employment practices to join this collective effort.

The Key Objectives of the Youth in Action Expo 2025:

  • Connect youth with institutions and organisations offering training, bursaries, internships, and job opportunities.
  • Promote equitable access to information and resources, especially for learners from rural and disadvantaged areas.
  • Encourage investment in youth development and inclusive hiring from both corporate and public sectors.
  • Foster collaboration between education providers, the private sector, and civil society to uplift and empower the next generation.

How You Can Get Involved

As a valued member of our community, there are several ways for you and your organisation to participate in and support this vital initiative:

  • Exhibit at the Expo: Join a growing list of confirmed participants—such as Harambee, Red Academy, FoodBev Seta, MSC, Lewis Group, SATSA, CapeBPO, YES, RMI, and Shoprite—and showcase your organisation’s offerings to an engaged youth audience.

  • Speaking Opportunities: Engage directly with Expo attendees through sessions hosted at the Speaking Corner. The City of Cape Town has already indicated interest via Jobs Connect, and there is space for others to contribute.

Sponsorships:

  • Transport Sponsorships to assist learners from rural and under-resourced communities in attending the event.
  • Lunch Pack Sponsorships to ensure that all youth participants and exhibitors are catered for across both days.
  • In-Kind Donations: Provide items such as learner bags, stationery, or branded merchandise to enhance the Expo experience and offer youth something tangible to take home.
  • Inclusive Partnerships: Collaborate with like-minded organisations dedicated to youth upliftment and disability inclusion to broaden the reach and impact of the Expo.

Expression of Interest

If you are interested in participating, either as an exhibitor or through one of the support avenues outlined above, we encourage you to get in touch. Your support can make a meaningful difference in the lives of many young people across the Western Cape.

Together, let’s open doors and create pathways for South Africa’s youth.
