Training opportunity for new tourist guides

The Department of Tourism (Department) in collaboration with the Free State Department of Economics, Small Business, Tourism and Environmental Affairs (DESTEA) will be implementing a skills development programme for new entrants in tourist guiding.

Individuals who have a passion for tourist guiding are encouraged to apply for the training opportunity. The target region for the training is the Fezile Dabi District Municipality, Free State Province.

The strategic objective of the programme is to train unemployed youth (18 - 35 years old) who are interested in pursuing a career in Tourist Guiding as Nature and Culture Site Guides at the Vredefort Dome World Heritage Site.

The deadline for submissions is 3 March 2025 no later than 16:00.
