Spotlight on Madagascar: Trade Workshops in Cape Town and Johannesburg a Success

Last week, we brought a slice of Madagascar to South Africa with three dynamic workshops held in Cape Town and Johannesburg after a successful WTM Africa 2025. Hosted in collaboration with Madagascar Anosy Tourism and the Anosy Regional Tourism Office, these sessions introduced members of the travel and tourism trade to the country’s breathtaking Big South region—an untapped destination bursting with potential.

Attendees gathered at Hotel Sky in both cities for an engaging presentation exploring Madagascar’s unique tourism offering, particularly the opportunities that lie within the lesser-known but spectacular Anosy region.

And the cherry on top? Attendees stood a chance to be selected for an exclusive familiarisation (FAM) trip to Madagascar’s Big South—a golden opportunity to experience the destination firsthand.
