Nestled in the heart of the Tsitsikamma, Storms River Adventures has been the gateway to unforgettable eco-adventures for over two decades. As Africa’s First Canopy Tour company, we pioneered this unique way of exploring the forest canopy — and have remained true to our roots ever since. Unlike many thrill-focused ziplining destinations, we don’t aim to be the highest, longest, or fastest. With us, it’s about connection: connecting people to nature, to local stories, and to a deeper respect for our environment.
Our flagship activity, the Tsitsikamma Canopy Tour, lets you glide gently through the indigenous rainforest along a series of zip lines high above the forest floor. Each glide reveals ancient trees, lush greenery, and a pristine ecosystem, while our trained local guides share stories about the forest’s rich biodiversity and cultural heritage.
For those who prefer to stay on the ground, the Woodcutters Journey offers a peaceful trip down the old Storms River Pass in an open vehicle — following the original path used by early pioneers and woodcutters. It’s an immersive experience that brings the history, flora, and fauna of the Tsitsikamma to life.
Our Guided Walks invite you to slow down and explore hidden trails under the forest canopy, learning firsthand about the fragile balance that makes this area one of South Africa’s most treasured natural wonders.
