Nel’s Lodge is Sibuya Game Reserve’s newest sole-use addition, created in heartfelt memoriam to Nel, a founding family member of the reserve. This exclusive 4-Star hideaway has been thoughtfully converted from the family home and built using pebbles gathered from the reserve itself, giving it an authentic sense of place and a strong connection to its surroundings.

Perched on a plateau encircled by dense indigenous forest, the lodge commands sweeping views over the riverine plains and the Kariega Estuary as it winds through the valley towards the ocean. The setting is peaceful, private and perfectly positioned for families and small groups seeking comfort within a pristine natural landscape.

A Spacious and Comfortable Home in the Wilderness

Nel’s Lodge offers generous living areas designed for relaxed, communal time together. The open-plan lounge and dining space includes a cosy fireplace and flows onto wide viewing decks overlooking the reserve. A heated swimming pool completes the experience, creating a welcoming retreat after a day of exploration.

The air-conditioned master bedroom occupies the upper level. It includes an en-suite bathroom with both shower and bath and a private balcony with magnificent views. The size of this bedroom allows two children to share comfortably with their parents.

Two additional bedrooms are located downstairs. One is en-suite with bath and shower, while the other has sole-use of a separate bathroom with a shower. Both rooms lead directly onto spacious decks that make the most of the lodge’s elevated vantage point.

Nel’s Lodge accommodates up to eight guests when children are sharing. It is equipped with on-grid electricity and Wi-Fi for added convenience.

Opening December 2025
